GPT stands for, Generative Pre-trained Transformer and is a type of artificial intelligence model designed to generate human-like text based on the input it receives. It belongs to a broader category of models known as transformers, which have revolutionized the field of natural language processing (NLP). GPT models are trained on a vast collection of text data, learning patterns, structures, and nuances of language through this training process. As a result, they can compose text that mimics a wide range of writing styles and formats, from conversational dialogue to technical reports.

The training process for the model unfolds in two primary stages. During the initial stage, known as pre-training, the model is introduced to a substantial dataset, where it hones its ability to understand the structure and context of language by analyzing the relationships between words in extensive text samples.
